CYNICAL DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT, A CAMPAIGN TO IDENTIFY IT IN YOUR ORGANISATION & A DISCUSSION FORUM ABOUT IT

The relevant definition of CYNICAL we are working with is as follows:

Showing contempt for accepted standards of honesty or morality by one’s actions, esp. by actions that exploit the scruples of others.

When I coined the phrase “DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT” years ago, it was to reflect the “EFFECTIVE” MANAGEMENT of DIFFERENCE (Gender, Disability, Race etc.) that an organisation is faced with in the pursuit of its lawful functions. Specifically as an employer and in the design and delivery of its products and services in such a manner that ENABLES equality of opportunity for ALL STAKEHOLDERS.

In this context Diversity Management IS synonymous with and central to the pursuit of EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR ALL STAKEHOLDERS.

I have coined the phrase “CYNICAL DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT” to describe, expose and campaign against Cynical Diversity Management on the part of individuals and organisations they represent.

Cynical Diversity Management IS about negating “EFFECTIVE DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT whilst PRETENDING to be just that!
